Lunara is a private period and cycle tracker for people who want a calm, local record of dates, symptoms, notes, and cycle context without adding an account, sync service, or ad-tech profile.

How setup and unlock work
- Create a 4 to 6 digit PIN on first run to initialize the local vault.
- That PIN protects data that is encrypted at rest in the browser.
- After a successful unlock, access lives in memory only for the current session.
- Refreshing or closing the app returns Lunara to the lock screen.
Backups, restore, and duress access
Backup bundles are generated locally on the device and can be downloaded as encrypted or plain JSON files. Encrypted backups are the safer default.
Restore runs locally too. After validation passes, restore replaces the current vault content instead of merging into it.
If you enable a duress PIN, Lunara creates a separate encrypted vault with its own content and unlock path.
