Lunara helps you track your period and cycle privately. Your entries stay on this device, there is no account, no ads or tracking, and backups are files you control.
How Lunara Works
Private period tracking in a few simple steps.
Lunara is meant to be understandable quickly: open it, create a PIN, track your cycle, and make backups before you clear browser data or move devices.
Your period dates, symptoms, notes, and cycle history stay on the device and browser you use.
There is no account, no ads or tracking, and backups are files you choose to create and keep.
Lunara is not medical, legal, or emergency guidance.
What Lunara is for
Lunara is a private period and cycle tracker for women and anyone who wants a calmer place to record sensitive health details without an account, ads, or tracking.
- Track period starts, cycle history, symptoms, and notes.
- Answer a few setup questions so Lunara can start with your usual cycle pattern.
- Use Lunara in the browser today, or install it from supported browsers for easier repeat access.
How to install Lunara
Lunara is a browser app today, not an App Store or Google Play download. If your browser offers an install option, it creates a shortcut so Lunara feels easier to reopen.

- Tap Add. If Add to Home Screen is hidden, tap Edit Actions and add it first.

Other browsers
Lunara still works normally in a browser tab.
- Keep using Lunara in this browser if no install option appears.
- Bookmark the app or keep it pinned for easier repeat access.
- Before clearing site data, create a password-protected backup and keep the password.
If you do not see an install option, you can still use Lunara in the browser on this device. Before clearing site data, changing browsers, or moving devices, create a backup and keep its password.
How setup and unlock work
- Create a 4 to 6 digit PIN the first time you open Lunara.
- Use that PIN to open your private tracker on later visits.
- You can add an optional passphrase after setup, while keeping PIN unlock available.
- Refreshing or closing the app returns Lunara to the lock screen.
- If you forget your PIN or passphrase and have no working backup, Lunara cannot recover your data.
Backups and safety options
Backups are files you create and keep. The safer option is a password-protected backup, especially before clearing site data, changing browsers, or moving to a new device.
Restore checks the backup file first. If you continue, restore replaces the current tracker data instead of blending two histories together.
A safety PIN is optional. It may be useful in coercion or privacy-risk situations where someone may be pressuring you to unlock Lunara, but many people do not need one.
If enabled during setup, the safety PIN opens a separate empty-looking space. It does not recover your real tracker, hide real data, sync data, contact anyone, or replace emergency or legal help.
Moving from another tracker
If you are switching from another period tracker, export your data from that app first and keep the file somewhere you control. Lunara can preview supported app exports inside the main tracker before saving mappable cycle entries.
Import review shows same-date replacements before you continue. After importing, create and check a password-protected backup so the moved history has a restore path.
Safe data move guideHow updates work
Updates arrive through the browser or installed shortcut. When a new version is waiting, make and check a password-protected backup before you refresh.
Refreshing may return Lunara to the lock screen. Your saved data should still be available in the same browser unless site data has been cleared.
