Lunara

Lunara is a private period and cycle tracker that keeps encrypted period dates, symptoms, notes, and cycle history in this browser only. Unlocks stay in memory for the current session, local backup and restore are supported, and there is no account, sync, analytics, or third-party tracking.

Encrypted vault records stay in this browser. Unlock access lives in memory for the current session only.

Local backup and restore are supported, including an optional duress PIN for a separate vault.

Lunara is not medical, legal, or emergency guidance.

Getting started

  1. Open Lunara and create a 4 to 6 digit real PIN on first run.
  2. Finish onboarding to save your initial cycle baseline and state information locally.
  3. On later visits, enter the same PIN to unlock the encrypted vault for the current session.

Backup and restore help

Use the in-app backup tools after unlock to download an encrypted or plain local backup bundle. Encrypted backups are recommended whenever you plan to keep the file.

Create a backup before clearing browser website data, changing browser profiles, moving devices, or reinstalling/resetting the browser.

To restore, choose the backup file inside Lunara, review the replacement warning, and continue. Restore replaces the current vault content after the file passes validation.

Common troubleshooting notes

  • Refreshing the app is expected to return you to the lock screen.
  • A different browser profile or device will not see local vault data until you restore a backup there.
  • Closing Lunara is fine, but clearing browser site data or website data can remove the local vault.
  • Repeated failed PIN attempts trigger a local delay before the next unlock try.
